Last June 20-21, Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS) was invited once again by Cane Events productions which is held at Parkmall(north reclamation area) to the “1st Cebu Hobby Convention” in partnership by LEVEL UP! (levelupgames.ph) .
Sumilon is a 24 hectare coral island located in the southeastern tip of Cebu. Pristine white sand beaches situated in different areas of the island. Sumilon is known for its sandbar’s changing shapes and shifting locations depending on the season. It has a natural lagoon teeming high with mangroves on the southside, a lighthouse rests on a protected tree park and a “Baluarte” (19th century) historical watchtower. It is also a home to Philippine’s first marine sanctuary.
SumilonBluewaterBeach resort is owned and managed by Almont Holdings Incorporated (AHI) and is the sister resort of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. They have 14 rooms that has private veranda with lounge bar, private toilet & shower, minibar, ceiling fan, airconditioning and it has a writing desk and dresser too. The facilities are also great. It has room service, airport assistance for travelers from outside Cebu, board game, free CD & DVD rentals, foreign currency exchange, WIFI Internet service, Laundry, Clinic, Safety Deposit Boxes at the reception desk, and a lot more.
The resort’s restaurant is known as the Island’s pavilion houses, it serves delectable fare local and international cuisine.It has open air construction and you can see the view of the ocean and mainland Cebu. Travelling has always been one of my passions. To be able to go to many places known or not, and to experience many unforgettable memories would always excites me to explore such places. My dream has been fulfilled when I became a CBS member. My first experience was when we visit Maribago Bluewater last May. It was such a nice experience that we never stop dreaming of going back to the resort. You can definitely say it’s the only resort who’s service are great in maribago bluewater cebu. Then months, later Sir Ruben of Pinoyworld invited us to visit the sister resort of Maribago. I was more than enthusiastic to be one of the privileged bloggers to have the chance explore theSumilon Bluewater Island Resort and indeed I was one of the 35 lucky bloggers who made it. Yehey! The group gathered in SM northwing and headed for an adventure ride. It was indeed very adventure that though I love to travel but if im in a closed vehicle like “Van” I really easily get sick and you know what happen next…..I throw up! Huhu…I vomited 4 times!! Waaaa! I really felt weak and told others Is it really this far? And they were all laughing.
So we arrived in Bato,Oslob where the resort’s receiving area for guest who will ride for a boat going to the Island. I felt better and relaxed especially seeing the bright and refreshing view of the white sand beach and the near sight ofSumilon Bluewater. It was so cool… The fun started when we boarded the boat because we had the first all around tour of the island and we are really in awe especially with the white sandbar and great waves that greeted us that made the travel to the Island more enjoyable.
When we arrived at the Eastern Dock of the resort, we were greeted with the smile of the staff and personally by their kind and accommodating Sumilon Bluewater’s Resident Manager, Mr.Greg Perral. Thanks for the warm welcome Sir! We had an orientation about the resort by Mr. Perral itself while savoring their tuna sandwich with fries. After the orientation, we had an ocular inspection with the rooms that are indeed relaxing with a nice view of the water outside. We were also treated with such appetizing foods provided by the in-house island kitchen managed by Chef de Partie Buddy Amodia. Thanks Chef! That was really good…hmmm… After eating, we were all excited to experience to experience the Sumilon fun eventhough the low pressure “Jolina” is quite challenging us not to go but we are just so excited . We tried the snorkeling and kayaking but the most enjoyable of all was whe new decided to the shifting white sandbar. As young as we are, we are always hungry for challenges and seeing the big waves did not make us feel afraid but the group’s energy was all drained as we face coming waves. You can see our adventures especially when the sandstorm swept us and were just shouting of the sand’s impact to our skin but it was truly a fun experience. There were injured, out of breath and just keep on laughing but all in all it was a great bonding for the group. The sand are all over in our bodies so we savor the last but most refreshing stop…the infinity pool where there is alsoa panoramic view of the water and mainland Cebu. The water is really cold because of the climate but it was refreshing to the body. We were all smile during the afternoon tea with carbonara pasta. After an hour of relaxing, we bid grateful goodbye to Mr. Perral, Chef Amodiathru a group picture as well as to thoseaccommodating staff ofSumilon resort. We arrived in the city probably @ 8:30 pm, had a small chitchat with the members and Sir Ruben like we don’t wanna go home. Hehe.. We know it would take more days or weeks before we will see each other again but looking forward on it. Do you want to experience it as well? Is it a ghost? or just an illusion? But for real, I was shock when I saw the pitcher began to open itself.We were eating our dinner at home while talking about some funny things. We did not mind the surroundings but suddenly we saw the tip of the pitcher moving… See it yourself and watch it closely to judge if it's true or not.

Better focus your time in studying so that you can find a job and earn some money...But today,our mothers would push their daughters even though they're just minors to chat or joined an online dating sites to find a foreign partner of whatever races for as long as he can gave money in exchange of flirty conversation.
Who can forget as a new CBS member the experience in maribago bluewater beach resort (www.bluewater.com.ph). which is all for free. I had a great time that day. I was so intrigue by the CBS members on how they will treat me as a newbie but we are getting along well so that really made the event more enjoyable. I had a lot of nice memories like the good treatment from the management and staff . I really loved the dessert and the yummy foods during dinner with cultural dancers entertaining. LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, defined in equal parts as the world's greatest entertainer and perhaps its most enigmatic figure, was about to attempt one of the greatest comebacks of all time. Then his life was cut shockingly — and so far, mysteriously — short.
The 50-year-old musical superstar died Thursday, just as he was preparing for what would be a series of 50 concerts starting July 13 at London's famed 02 arena. Jackson had been spending hours and hours toiling with a team of dancers for a performance he and his fans hoped would restore his tarnished legacy to its proper place in pop.
An autopsy was planned for Friday, though results were not likely to be final until toxicology tests could be completed, a process that could take several days and sometimes weeks. However, if a cause can be determined by the autopsy, they will announce the results, said Los Angeles County Coroner Investigator Jerry McKibben.
Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.
Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in the posh Los Angeles neighborhood of Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.
"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said.
Cardiac arrest is an abnormal heart rhythm that stops the heart from pumping blood to the body. It can occur after a heart attack or be caused by other heart problems.
Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

The legendary Michael Jackson died on Thursday. he died at the age of 50 cause of (Cardiac Arrest) or heart attack. I heard this horrible news in noon time show called "Wowowee". I really felt sad about this news it just that i can't Imagine that in a blink of an eye, the king of pop just died in no time because we dont even heard a news prior to hie death that he was rushed to the hospital for any health issues. it just I was so exited about his world concert tour but suddenly it all gone by the wind.. I'm really sadden about this and I'd like to give my condolences to the family and bid a king's farewell to the greatest all time performer and the King of Pop - Michael Jackson.

We were one of the media partners for this year's HOBCON so we got we were given a media ID to have an exclusive chance to cover and took good shots to the participants of their different contest of course for us to blog it. Hehe...Hobby Convention are for those lovers of anime and online games who portrayed their favorite characters on whatever anime shows and level up games they're addicted to through “cross playing”.We saw different characters like that from Manga shows and online games character like characters from Death Note, Soul Eater, Flame of Recca,Flyyf,Grand Chase etc. They also have online games competition by LEVEL UP! . I had characters too from Grand Chase but I didn't register for the contest because I just don't feel it joining! Nyaks! Nyahaha! Well. What we really enjoyed was the cosplay contest where it has different categories and Ahmm... “Empress of Drac” joined the individual cosplayer category.. hehe...and our CBS Pres. Mark, was one of the judges! Weew! Well, the contest was success just like the events and the winners are truly deserving especially the group where they portrayed the “Soul Eater” gang. I really love to watch people who looks cute on their cosplay attires like those little kid who also learned to love anime and online games. The organizers deserves a “kudos” for its success .

Last Sunday,June 14,2009., Cebu Bloggers Society had another event but this time its for a cause that would benefit the fire victims in Umapad, Mandaue City. The weather was not cooperating but we did no retreat, no surrender.. hehe..We still pursue our charitable event for we know the people of those affected would be glad for our little help. we are so blessed that it did not happen to us so its time to give back because its better to give than to receive. We had monetary sharing and some brought with them rice and used clothing's. Fortunately, our money was able to buy several cans of sardines,noodles and 25 kilos of rice. We divided into 2 groups and did our tasks. When we arrived to the area where the victims had their temporary shelter to the same are where the fire broke out, it was already raining but we still entered the vicinity for our main concern is to deliver our gifts to them. It was quite hard for the place is really compressed and it was all raining. We are already soaked but we are still all smile after that day for we know that we had made a great difference for them.
Last night, the CBS family went to Mama Maria's Pizzeria's Opening here in Cebu. They serve authentic Italiano Pizza and Pasta and do you know that its known as well as the” Home of the Biggest Pizza in the Philippines”. What a lucky group we are for we are one of the invited to witness and of course to blog the tasty treats. You can choose different sizes from single size 8 inches, regular size 11 inches, family size 15 inches, xl family size 21 inches xxl family size 30 inches. While waiting for the pizza to arrive, we enjoyed the company of each other and the canned soft drinks served. When we saw the pizza, it was indeed "delightful" to see a huge size of pizza compared to others I've tasted. You can really see the difference. From the flavors with different variants, from Kinilaw, Hawaiian,mama maria with ham and bacon and all other flavors where I did not quite remember anymore the names because I was so concentrated feeling the crunch of the thin crust home made pizza by Mama Maria. What also impressed me is you can see how they make their pizzas as you can see them on the spot. How they put those yummy ingredients and all the way on cooking it in the oven so it would make you feel more excited and crave for it when its already cooked and served. I did not ate that day but it was worth it!
hehe..What makes me ate more? is the "CHILI HOT" sauce that's really made me want more for another slice. Hehe. I didn't notice how many slices I've eaten that day but anyways that was free of charge! hehe.. Thanks to the beautiful foreigner owner who's been very accommodating to us.
